• Todd
Dick and Karen (Tomlinson) Todd, Stillwater, will celebrate their 50th anniversary with their children and grandchildren at their home on Christmas Eve. They were married Dec. 23, 1961, in First Christian Church in Coyle.
They have two children, Richard L. Todd, Tulsa, and Tamra Hartman, Edmond, and three grandchildren, Casey Todd, Chris Hartman and Tim Hartman.
After graduating from Oklahoma State University, the Todds have lived and worked in Oklahoma and Texas. Todd has been a teacher, principal and superintendent in education as well as working eight years in industry.
Mrs. Todd taught 33 years in public schools and two years at OSU Tech in Okmulgee. In Okemah, she received the Outstanding Teacher Award for 1989 and was a state finalist for the Oklahoma Medal for Excellence in Education award in 1991.
The Todds retired in 1995. He enjoys outdoor activities, and she enjoys sewing, quilting and sports.
The family spent a week in Maui, Hawaii, to celebrate the anniversary.
