Karlanne Knott and Bill Harshman were wed Nov. 23, 1963, at the Christian Church in Orlando. The couple will celebrate 50 years of marriage at a come-and-go reception from 2-4 p.m. Nov. 24 at Crosspointe Church, 1807 N. Jardot. Their children are hosting the reception and encourage all family and friends to join the celebration.
They have lived southwest of Stillwater near Coyle for most of their married life. He retired from the city of Stillwater Boomer Lake station and became a full-time farmer. She works at Oncue Marketing, her employee for the past 33 years.
Their children are Richard Harshman, Judith Brower and Billee Karcher and husband, Jaramie Karcher. The Harshman’s are grandparents to eight grandchildren, including Keith, Dustin and Dakota Harshman; Kiersten and James Brower and Kaylee, Kaycee and Ethan Karcher.
