Silvers celebrate anniversary

David and Rosetta Silver will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at the First Presbyterian Church, West Sixth Avenue and Duncan Avenue.

Julie Clark, the couple’s daughter, will be hosting and handling the arrangements for the celebration.

The late Rev. Dr. James Struthers married the couple in the same church where the anniversary celebration will be held.

After living in Colorado and California for a few years, the couple returned to Stillwater in 1976 and taught at Stillwater High School until their retirement in 2007.
