Wynns celebrate 50 years

Dee and Marsha Wynn celebrated 50 years of marriage at 6 p.m. May 31 at the Stillwater Holiday Inn and Suites. The celebration was hosted by their children and grandchildren with more than 100 family members and friends in attendance.

The former Marsha Waring exchanged vows with Dee Wynn on May 31, 1964, in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Enid. Marva Garber, sister of the bride, and Bill Ross were in the wedding as the honor attendants and both were present for the anniversary celebration.

Dee Wynn and Marsha Waring graduated from Enid High School where they met and started dating. Dee attended the University of Oklahoma after graduating from EHS in 1962 and Marsha attended Phillips University upon her graduation from EHS in 1963.

Shortly after their marriage, the couple moved to Edmond where Dee Wynn worked with his father and uncle in the family grocery store - Wynn’s IGA. She is very skilled at sewing and has worked with interior designers in the Stillwater area reupholstering furniture and designing and making window treatments. She has won several blue ribbons at the Payne County Fair for her creations.

The couple enjoys owning and riding horses in their free time.
