Stephen and Lynne (Swain) Miller, Stillwater, celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 20 with a family and friends gathering at Karsten Creek as well as church and neighborhood receptions.
They have three daughters, Stepahnie, Heather and Jennifer, and three sons-in-law, Jim, Terry and Chad, and seven grandchildren.
They met while attending Oklahoma State University.
Miller received his bachelor and master degrees from OSU before the couple moved to Los Angeles, where he received his doctorate from UCLA. He returned to OSU in 1971 and remained until his retirement in 2007. Mrs. Miller has been a loving wife, mother and grandmother in that time while owning a maternity/children’s store and volunteered for church, school and community organizations.
The couple participated in numerous faculty-led OSU Study Abroad programs in the United Kingdom, France, Japan and Mexico. They enjoy traveling, volunteering at the OSU Botanic Garden and participate in Zion Lutheran Church, PEO, CASA and Newcomers Club activities.
