Sid and Rita (Forest) White, Stillwater, will celebrate their 54th anniversary Thursday.

They met in Montreal, Canada, and were married there on March 11, 1956. Tired of the snow, they honeymooned in Florida.

They have three children, Joanne, John and Brian. They have five grandchildren, Danny, Jason, Elizabeth, Vicky and Lauren; and two great-granddaughters, Daisy and Olivia.

Both natives of Canada, the Whites later moved to New Jersey, where they raised their children.
