STILLWATER, Okla. — • Coffey

Walter and Diane (Arrington) Coffey, Stillwater, will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a family celebration hosted by their children on Aug. 15. It will include brunch following church, a family swim and badminton tournament and a cook-out.

They were married Aug. 6, 1960.

Their children are Catherine Drummond, Jennifer Taliaferro, Elizabeth Wilson and Emilie Parsons. Also in attendance will be the couple’s sons-in-law and 13 grandchildren, ages 9 to 23.

The Coffeys both grew up in Shawnee and first dated in high school. Following graduation from Baylor Dental School and after Coffey completed service in the U.S. Air Force, the couple made Stillwater their home in 1968.

Besides his love of dentistry, Coffey enjoys playing golf and the piano and recently expanded his hobby of photography into a small business venture, “Scenes Seen.”

Mrs. Coffey is an avid reader, enjoys playing bridge, is an incredible cook and spends much of her time volunteering.

Both love to travel and are planning to celebrate their 50 years together with their children in Italy in the fall. They also hold dear their church and their many friends.
