Herrings observe 50 years of marriage

Johnny and Barbara Herring will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception for family and friends at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, at the Oak Park Retreat Center located at 805 E. Kirk in Perkins.

Both are graduates of Tipton High School. After attending college at Oklahoma State University, they decided to raise their family in the Perkins area.

The couple has three children Diana Aldridge and husband James of Ripley; Derek Herring of Stillwater; and Tara Osborne and husband Bob of O'Neill, Neb.

They have 12 grandchildren: Drew, Cody and Josh Wehr; Michaela, Delaina and Kaden Herring; Lauren, Kelsey and Colton Osborne; and Nathan, Zoey and Mika Aldridge.
