Betty and Claude Seal celebrate 65th

— Claude and Betty Seal will celebrate their 65th wedding celebration in Oklahoma City on June 2.  The couple married June 2, 1948, at the Boston Avenue Methodist Church in Tulsa. The former Betty Mays joined her husband working in the oil industry. She worked for Gulf Oil Corp., Electro Chemical Lab and Amoco Oil Co. He worked for Countryman Oil Co., Standolind Oil Purchasing Co.  and retired from Amoco Oil Co. after six name changes.

They resided in Jonesboro, Ark., Tulsa and  Homewood, Ill. before retiring to Grand Lake near Afton. They re-retired to Stillwater 10 years ago. The couple has always stayed active within the Baptist church wherever they made their home. They are members of the First Baptist Church in Stillwater. Their children include a daughter, Patsy Seal George of Oklahoma City, and a son, the late Dr. Richard Gregory Seal, and daughter-in-law Pamela Nance Seal of Stillwater. Grandchildren are Holly Seal and Jack McCalmont, Oklahoma City; Jeff and Stephanie George, Frisco, Texas; Todd George, Weatherford, and Matt George who is in the Air Force in California. Two great-grandchildren, Cody, 9, and Blake, 8, live in Frisco, Texas.
