Gary and Rosemary Davidson

Gary and Rosemary Davidson will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception hosted by close friends and family from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 28 at University Heights Baptist Church.
They were married June 27, 1959, in University Heights Baptist Church in Stillwater.
They will continue to celebrate on a trip to West Africa to visit their daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Don and Jana (Davidson) Stelzer, and grandchildren Seth, 14; Noah, 13; and Abigail, 8.
Davidson grew up in Ardmore and graduated from Ardmore High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea, Japan and England from 1953 to 1957. He attended Murray State College, Southeastern State College and Oklahoma State University.
Mrs. Davidson grew up in Stillwater and vicinity and graduated from Stillwater High School. She attended Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas, for three years before returning to OSU, where they met.
Following marriage, they moved to Kansas City, Mo., where Davidson worked for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. They moved to Connecticut for several years working for General Dynamics/Electric Boat with the USAEC before moving to the Washington, D.C., area with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
They returned in 1979 to Stillwater, where Davidson worked for the OSU Student Union and the OSU department of financial aid, retiring in 1988.
Mrs. Davidson directed church choirs in Connecticut and Maryland and was a member of the New London Chorale, AEC Chorale, Montgomery County Chorus and other vocal groups.
Since returning to Stillwater, she has been active in the St. Cecilia Chorus, OSU Masterworks Chorus and Community Chorus and has directed the ladies ensemble and adult choir at University Heights Baptist Church for a time.
She worked for Montgomery Ward Modeling and Interior Decorating Schools, Southside Baptist Church, Duck Creek Associates and the National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Materials at OSU, retiring in 1999.
The couple requests no gifts.
