THE SPOTLIGHT: Trey Kennedy mixes pop and R&B

STILLWATER, Okla. — NAME: Trey Kennedy

WHERE FROM: Edmond

MEMBERS OF GROUP AND INSTRUMENTS: Vocals by Trey Kennedy and keys by Allan Cole

YEAR STARTED: 2011

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC: Pop/Rhythm and Blues

FAVORITE SONGS TO PLAY: We have been playing John Legend’s “All Of Me” recently.

TOP NOTABLES: We released a single this past fall called “Not Just Another Girl” and it can be found on iTunes and other online music stores. This original piece reveals the sound of multiple genres with a piano-led pop feel, and an anthemic chorus, different from his previous single “One More Time”.

FAVORITE PLACES TO PLAY: We enjoy playing on campus at Oklahoma State University and at local coffee shops. Trey’s talent was first discovered his freshmen year of college when a few friends heard him singing through the halls of their fraternity house.
