Stewart declares for NFL Draft

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State’s reception leader this year, Josh Stewart, announced on Instagram Tuesday that the 5-foot-10, 185-pound receiver would be entering the 2014 NFL Draft.

Stewart, a junior, pulled down 60 receptions for 703 yards this year. Stewart, an All-Big 12 receiver, had a long of 73 yards and scored three touchdowns.

Stewart’s numbers dropped his junior year from his sophomore season when he caught 101 passes for 1,210 yards and seven touchdowns.

Stewart was also a force at special teams. Stewart was back deep for the Cowboys’ punt return team. Stewart earned 368 yards this year and returned two punts for touchdowns, his long was a 95-yard return.

Stewart came to Oklahoma State from Guyer High School in Texas.

Stewart wrote on Instagram, “First I wanna thank God for this opportunity and for all the Cowboy fans that's been the most loyal and true fans I've ever been around!”

Stewart added, “I've been so blessed and I'm thankful for you guys! I would like to just let you all know that I've decided to declare and enter the NFL Draft! One of the most hardest decisions I've had to make in my life. But I'm ready for this life and I hope all my friends and Cowboy family continue to follow me throughout this journey I'm gonna be preparing for! Thanks for everything Cowboy Nation I will rep Pokes until my time on this earth is up!"
