Geological survey: 3.4 quake shakes Payne County

STILLWATER, Okla. — The U.S. Geological Survey reports a 3.4 magnitude earthquake occurred at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, approximately six miles southeast of Perkins.

A 3.4 magnitude earthquake may be felt by a few persons at rest, especially on upper floors of buildings. Standing motorcars may rock slightly. You may experience vibrations similar to the passing of a truck.
