STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State University men's basketball coach Travis Ford has dismissed troubled freshman point guard Stevie Clark from the team.
Ford made the announcement Monday, a day after Clark had been arrested in Stillwater for outraging public decency after Stillwater Police caught him urinating from a moving car.
"We care about Stevie, and wish nothing but the best for him," Ford said. "We want him to find success in the future, whereever that may be."
The former Oklahoma City Douglass standout has been in some form of trouble since December when he was sent back to Stillwater for disciplinary reasons during the team's road trip to the state of Florida.
On Jan. 1, he was arrested by Edmond Police on drug charges. Then, came Sunday's incident.
Oklahoma State (16-5 overall, 4-4 Big 12) returns to action at 8 p.m. Monday against Iowa State in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Clark wasn't a starter for the Pokes, but played in 16 games, shooting 39.3 percent from the floor. He averaged 5.3 points and 2.7 assists per game.
