With the season opener just five days away, one thing that is in midseason form is Oklahoma's confidence.
Cornerback Aaron Colvin was brimming with it on Monday when asked about the secondary.
"We can be great. I’m not going to lie. I’m a defensive back, so I’m going to be confident," he said. "I honestly believe we can be one of the best, especially in the conference."
The Sooner coaching staff has a lot of confidence in Colvin. He's moving to cornerback after starting as a safety last season. He's replacing Jamell Fleming, who was the Arizona Cardinals' third-round pick.
"Aaron Colvin is every bit the corner that Jamell Fleming was. I've got great confidence in him," OU coach Bob Stoops said.
