Election 2012

June 23, 2012

Early voting continues Monday for primary elections

STILLWATER, Okla. — Early voting continues Monday for several state and local primary races.

In-person, early voting can be done at county election boards and lasts from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, and regular voting is on Tuesday at designated polling places from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

No incumbent state legislators in the region drew opponents, but voters in and around Payne County will decide primary races for Oklahoma’s 3rd Congressional District, a seat on the Corporation Commission and various county offices.

In some cases such as the Payne County Commission District 2 race between Ruth Stover and Chris Reding, the primary will decide the winner of the election outright because there is no Democrat challenger. The runoff election will be Aug. 28, if needed, and the general election will be Nov. 6.
