Ruth B. Hanson and Nicholas Lightner have announced plans to exchange wedding vows on Aug. 25 in Salida, Colo.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Greg and Sharon Hanson of Stillwater.
The prospective groom is the son of Jim and Kathy Lightner of Littleton, Colo.
Hanson is a 2008 graduate of Stillwater High School. She will graduate from Oklahoma State University in Dec. 2012 and is the student fitness coordinator at the OSU Colvin Center.
Lightner graduated from Heritage High School in Littleton in 2004, and Vanderbilt University in 2008. After completing a mission trip to Africa, he moved to Tulsa to continue his education at the University of Tulsa.
He is a petroleum engineer for Cimarex Energy in Midland, Texas.
