Kara Lawson to wed Stephen Gagnon

— Kara Rhea Lawson and Stephen Albert Gagnon, both of Fayettville, N.C., plan to wed at 6:30 p.m. July 27 in Cypress Bend Vineyards, Wagram, N.C.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Melissa Pals, Stillwater, and Larry R. Lawson, Maryville, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of the late Ronald and Sally Johnson, formerly of Stillwater.

 The groom-elect is the son of Steven Neuser, Midland, Texas, and the late Linda Gagnon.

The bride-to-be graduated from Perkins High School in 2002. She earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Oklahoma State University in 2006 and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a doctorate degree in pharmacy in 2010. She is employed at Walgreens in Fayettville, N.C.

The groom-elect graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 2003. He earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Oklahoma State University in 2009, serving a year deployed to Afghanistan during that time. Gagnon joined the Oklahoma National Guard in 2002 and was commissioned as an Army infantry officer in 2009. He is stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. in special forces training.

The couple will make their home in Fayettville, N.C.
