Yale routs Morrison; Ripley avenges loss to Stonewall

YALE, Okla. —

The Bulldogs scored early and often in a 12-4 run-rule victory over the Wildcats Thursday.

Yale (10-7) scored two in the first, three in the second and two in the third to build a 7-3 lead. The Bulldogs sealed the game with a five-run fourth.

Austin Reams went 3 for 4 with three doubles, drove in a run and scored three. Devion Saunders went 3 for 3 with two RBIs, hit two doubles and scored three runs. Keston Foster went 3 for 4 with two doubles, two runs and three RBIs.

Reams got the win to improve to 3-2. He gave up eight hits, two walks and struck out two. The Bulldogs host Mounds at 4 p.m. Friday.

The Wildcats (11-6) visit Olive at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Ripley 10, Stonewall 4

HARRAH — The Warriors opened off the Harrah Tournament with a five-inning victory over Stonewall. 

Ripley pulled out to a 5-1 lead in the third inning but Stonewall took advantage of a pair of Ripley errors and cut the Warriors' lead to 5-4 after four. Ripley responded with five runs in the top of the fifth to put the game away.

Trevor Watts went 3 for 4 with two doubles, Houston Twoguns, Cory Sadler and Cody Romine each hit a double. Justin Ford went 2 for 3. Twoguns picked up the win, striking out eight in four innings.

The Warriors (14-5) play at Frontier at 4:30 p.m.
