Several solid football players in the Stillwater Area

STILLWATER, Okla. — Defense

Defensive line: Trevor Hubble, Cushing


Hubble was one of the leading tacklers for the Tigers. He returned two takeaways for scores and helped Cushing to an 8-3 record.

Defensive line: Travis Dunn, Morrison

Dunn recorded 78 tackles and picked off one pass and recovered a fumble. The junior was part of a defensive line that didn’t allow many rushing yards.

Defensive line: Heath Moorman, Coyle

Moorman was the second leading tackler with 67. He sacked the quarterback twice for a total loss of six yards and also recovered a fumble.

Defensive end: Konner Fowler, Yale

Fowler was active on the Bulldogs’ defensive front as he got to the quarterback four times and recorded 68 tackles.

Linebacker: Daniel Wall, Perkins-Tryon

Wall was one of the leading tacklers on the Demons with 77 and two quarterback hurries.

Linebacker: Bo Montez, Perry

Montez was a captain on the Maroons defense and brought down the quarterback four times.

Linebacker:Andrew Polasek, Morrison

Polasek seemed to always be in on the action as he recorded 190 tackles. He intercepted two passes and forced one fumble.

Defensive back: King Williams, Stillwater

The Pioneers gave up a lot of passing yards but Williams did all he could to limit the amount. He recorded 32 tackles, picked off two passes and deflected four.

Defensive back: Justin Bearry, Morrison

Bearry played on a defense that posted three shutouts. Last season he made 42 tackles limiting opponent’s gains.

Defensive back: Josh Binford, Perkins-Tryon

Binford recorded 25 tackles with two interceptions and two pass deflections. Binford helped the Demons reach the playoffs.

Defensive back: Austin Reams, Yale

Reams led the Bulldogs in interceptions with six for 86 return yards and recovered two fumbles.

Special Teams

Kicker: Sean Bozworth, Cushing

Bozworth converted just about all of his extra points for the Tigers, helping them reach the playoffs.

Punter: Paydon Moore, Pawnee

Moore was very active for the Black Bears as he had 32 punts. He recorded three inside the opponents’ 20 and had a long of 47.

Returner: Jacob Peyton, Perkins-Tryon

Peyton returned a kickoff 77 yards for a touchdown in a victory over Verdigris last September. Last season, Peyton gained 279 yards on 10 kickoffs.
