STILLWATER, Okla. —
The Cushing Tigers have been on a roll and they hope to keep it going as they battle the Chandler Lions at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
“I think every team in our district is battling to get into postseason,” Cushing coach Barrett Shupe said. “That’s what we are trying to do, whatever it takes.”
The Tigers (5-1, 2-0) have won their last three games, including their first two district games. Cushing scored more than 60 points in their last two games.
The Lions (3-3, 2-1) hope to tie for second after coming off a 35-19 loss to Bristow this past week. Chandler won the three previous games, scoring at least 33 points in those victories. Shupe said they will be a good challenge.
“They are good in all three phases of the game,” Shupe said. “We will have to play a complete game.”
