STILLWATER, Okla. —
Except for the pass-happy Stillwater Pioneers, most of the area relied on running the football to achieve victories and success in the 2012 campaign. Every team had a solid running back For the most part, several teams were pleased with the outcome.
The Morrison Wildcats (7-A), Cushing Tigers (2-3A) and Coyle Bluejackets (3-B) produced second-place finishes in their respective districts. The Wildcats took it a step further and won their first round playoff game and went toe-to-toe with the top-ranked Wynnewood Savages in the second round.
Perry, Yale and Perkins-Tryon also joined in the playoff field. Agra and Carney made school history posting their first winning seasons under first-year coaches.
