TULSA, Okla. —
A night after the Stillwater High School baseball team’s offense sputtered in a 4-2 win over Norman North, the Pioneers’ bats had plenty of life in a doubleheader sweep over Tulsa Edison.
On the back of a two-run home run from Jon Littell, the Pioneers took the first game 8-1 before turning around and beating Edison 10-1 in the second game.
“It was good to get the win and get districts started on the right foot,” Stillwater coach Tony Holt said. “We did a good job and played really well both games.”
Nick Hollman (1-0) got the win in the first game for the Pioneers (3-2), going four innings before giving way to Colton Burney.
Will Fowler (1-0) also picked up his first win of the season in the second game.
Littell led the offensive charge for the Pioneers going 5-for-7 with five RBIs in the two games.
