BARNSDALL, Okla. —
The Morrison Wildcats defeated Barnsdall, outscoring the Panthers 40-8.
The win improves Morrison’s record to 5-0 in district and 7-1 overall.
Next week, the Wildcats host Foyil in a non-district game. In two weeks, Morrison will play Kiefer for the district title.
COYLE 38, OAKS 20
OAKS — Coyle came away victorious against Oaks after a quick start secured the win.
Four touchdowns in the first quarter by the Bluejackets forced Oaks to adjust its playing strategy in the second half.
“They played keepaway football the second half and we couldn’t get it back very much,” coach Shane Weathers said.
Weathers said Ryan Weathers and Gary Hunter were the top players.
Weathers completed seven passes for 171 yards. Hunter had 149 rushing yards and 65 receiving. He scored four touchdowns.
“(Hunter) played a heck of a game,” Weathers said. “He played his heart out.”
Coyle will have a bye on Friday.
YALE 22, DEPEW 14
YALE — The Bulldogs kept their playoff chances alive with a win over Depew.
Eric Hambrick scored on a 2-yard run for the Bulldogs and added a 2-point conversion after Chris Glasby’s 34-yard touchdown run in the first half.
Yale held Depew to only one touchdown in the second half to secure their victory.
The Bulldogs will play at Hominy on Friday.
PERRY 32, LUTHER 28
PERRY — The Maroons defeated Luther in the last minute of play of a back-and-forth game.
Braden Sweet broke up the game-deciding pass in the end zone by Luther in the last 10 seconds of play.
Perry had 354 offensive yards, 319 on the ground. Hunter Condit was the leading rusher for Perry with 209 yards and three touchdowns.
Perry will travel to Pawnee on Friday.
CHISHOLM 49, PAWNEE 7
CHISHOLM — The Black Bears couldn’t keep up the momentum and fell to Chisholm.
“We played a really good team,” coach Marlon Houston said. “We just came off of a three-game stretch playing the top three teams.”
Pawnee will face Perry at home Friday.
“They’ll be coming off of a high so it’ll be a good game,” Houston said.
