Glencoe Panthers punch return ticket to state


GLENPOOL, Okla. — Pawnee 56, Oklahoma Union 29

KIEFER — The Pawnee Lady Black Bears advance to the next round of regionals in the consolation bracket with a win over Oklahoma Union.

Natalie Jensen was the leading scorer for Pawnee (12-12) with 16 points. Jaidan Alley followed with 13.

The Lady Black Bears go up against Caney Valley at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Coyle 57, Kremlin-Hillsdale 32

GLENPOOL — The Coyle Lady Bluejackets are one game away from state after defeating Kremlin-Hillsdale.

Tyra Aska led the Lady Bluejackets (21-5) to the victory with 19 points. Shilah Young followed with 18.

Coyle will face Pond Creek-Hunter at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the last round of area. The Lady Bluejackets lost 55-49 to Pond Creek-Hunter in regionals.

Perkins-Tryon 34, Oklahoma Christian School 28

PERKINS — The Perkins-Tryon Lady Demons are one game closer to the area tournament after a victory against Oklahoma Christian School.

P-T held a one-point lead throughout the first half. The Lady Demons gained their edge in the third quarter, outscoring OCS 8-6.

Bailey Wensler was the high scorer for P-T with 13 points. The Lady Demons play Luther at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Perkins for a spot in the area tournament.


Perkins-Tryon 53, Oklahoma Christian Schools 41

PERKINS — The Perkins-Tryon Demons breezed through their first game in the regional consolation bracket.

Hayden McBride led the Demons (16-4) to a victory with 17 points. Travis Cotton added 13.

P-T will face the winner of Luther vs. Chisholm at 3 p.m. Saturday in Perkins for a spot in the area tournament.

Ripley 64, Mounds 57

STROUD — The Ripley Warriors survived against Mounds in another round of playoffs.

Ripley was down by 6 points at halftime but came back in the third quarter, outscoring Mounds 21-4.

Houston Twoguns dropped in 31 points for the Warriors (16-11). Ripley will face the winner of Rejoice Christian vs. Summit Christian in Stroud at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Drummond 51, Coyle 36

GLENPOOL — The Coyle Bluejackets end their season with a loss to Drummond in the area tournament.

The Bluejackets were down by 13 in the first quarter and couldn’t make a come back.

Anthony McLeod led the game with 11 points. Chaz Newton added 8. The Bluejackets finish the season 16-13.
