ROFF, Okla. — The Ripley Warriors couldn't string together hits and fell 2-1 to Stratford in the Class A regionals.
Stratford scored two runs in the top of the second, which was all they needed. Caulden Greenfield started for the Warriors and pitched the first two innings, taking the loss. Ripley scored in the bottom of the sixth.
Levi Morris pitched the final five innings for the Warriors after throwing five innings on Thursday.
"Morris was lights out," coach Donnie Hoffman said. "I don't think a runner got to third base. He just dominated."
Morris helped his cause with a double. Dalton Watts also hit a double. Hoffman said overall his team struggled hitting.
"We just couldn't relax at the plate," Hoffman said. "We weren't able to give Morris runs and didn't make good adjustments."
The Warriors finish their season at 22-12.
