Morrison's Hite throws a no-hitter in the Wildcats' victory over Prue

PRUE, Okla. — Morrison pitcher Josh Hite had no trouble solving the Prue Rockets as he pitched a no-hitter in a 20-1 victory.

"He was pretty solid," coach Tim Hatter said. "He walked four on the night. We rolled some double plays behind them."

Hite struck out 11 in five innings and got plenty of run support. Morrison scored two in the first, five in the second, two in the third and exploded for 11 in the fifth.

Several players contributed offensively. Andrew Polasea went 3-for-3, including a 3-RBI triple and scored three runs. Jordan Quinata went 3-for-4 with four RBI and scored two runs. Ty Stout went 3-for-4 with two runs and 4 RBI. Brad Mills went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and scored three runs.

"It was a good night for us," Hatter said.

Morrison hosts Shidler at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Ripley 18, Frontier 7

RIPLEY — The Ripley Warriors scored 10 runs in the third to run-rule the Frontier Mustangs 18-7.

"We had five players with multiple hits," coach Donnie Hoffman said. "Trevor Watts, Chandler Salinas, Cory Sadler, Caulden Greenfield and Dalton Watts."

Ripley took a 2-0 lead in the first and expanded it to eight in the second. Frontier rallied in the top of the third to cut the Warriors' lead to 8-5. Ripley put the game away in the bottom half and improved to 6-4 on the season.

The Warriors play at Cimarron on Tuesday.
