Perkins-Tryon edges OCS; Pawhuska routs Pawnee

PERKINS, Okla. — Perkins-Tryon slid past Oklahoma Christian School on Monday night.

 P-T scored one run in the second and two in the third inning to come out the victor with a 3-1 win over OCS.

The Demons had eight hits, while OCS swung for seven hits. Each team had two errors.

Perkins-Tryon’s bats were steady. P-T had eight players that had a single.

Tanner Bane earned the victory on the bump and Alex Dougan was behind the plate for the Demons.

Perkins-Tryon moved up to 3-5 on the year and will go to the McLoud Tournament on Thursday through Saturday.

Pawhuska 13, Pawnee 5

PAWHUSKA — Seven runs in the sixth inning carried the Huskies to a 13-5 victory over the visiting Black Bears.

Pawnee held a 3-1 lead after the top of third but Pawhuska tied it in the bottom half. The Black Bears regained the lead in the fourth but Pawhuska came back with two runs and took a 5-4 lead. Pawnee tied it the next inning but the Huskies took the lead for good in the fifth.

Nick Whitten took the loss after giving up five runs in three innings pitched. Alex Roughface went 2 for 2 with an RBI and scored two runs. Paydon Moore was got a hit, scored and drove in a run.

Pawnee fell to 2-5 and host Morrison at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
