Two people killed in four-car wreck on Interstate 35 early Saturday morning

STILLWATER, Okla. — Two people were killed in a four-car wreck on Interstate 35 in Logan County early Saturday morning.

A 33-year-old Albuquerque, N.M., man and a Tosha Hanifen, 29, of Ponca City died in the 2:02 a.m. wreck, according to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Rick Ellis.

A passenger in Hanifen’s car is in critical condition with head, arm and leg injuries at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center, according to the report.

Shane Green, 23, of Stillwater was driving a pickup involved in the wreck. He refused treatment for a hand injury. His passenger, Cody Edger, 21, of Perry, refused treatment for facial injuries.

Claudia Nacianceno, 36, Granite Falls, Minn., was driving a van. She was transported to a Guthrie hospital where she was treated and released, according to the trooper’s report.

The New Mexico man’s car was traveling north in the southbound lane, according to the trooper’s report. It struck the driver’s side of Green’s pickup, knocking it off the road. The car struck the driver’s side of van, went into a slide. Hanifen’s car struck the passenger’s side of the New Mexico man’s car.
