STILLWATER, Okla. —
The Stillwater Board of Education will meet in executive session at 5 p.m. Tuesday and have the regular board meeting at 6:30 p.m.
The board meets at the administration building, 314 S. Lewis.
According to Kellee Brown, director of Human Resources for the district, the school board will discuss a proposed redistricting plan for the six elementary schools in the district.
The school board is seeking feedback from the parents of children who will be affected by the rezoning.
The rezoning will ease the crowding at some schools and balance the enrollment throughout the district.
The board selected one rezoning plan from 11 models. The model will allow all schools to be below 70 percent free or reduced-price lunches.
Students in the southwest portion of the district would be reassigned from Westwood Elementary School to Sangre Ridge Elementary School and Will Rogers Elementary School to alleviate overcrowding at Westwood.
