STILLWATER, Okla. —
Former Oklahoma State University basketball star Darrell Williams will have to wait a little longer to find out if he will get a new trial or go to prison.
Court records show Williams’ court appearance has been moved at the request of the state and defendant until 9 a.m. Sept. 28
Williams, 22, was convicted of two counts of rape by instrumentation and one count of sexual battery in July after two women testified he sexually assaulted them at a house party in 2010. He was acquitted on two other charges of rape by instrumentation. He is currently being held at Payne County Jail.
Williams’ defense attorneys filed a motion for new trial before an August sentencing hearing. The motion cited new evidence that could impeach a witness.
