Registration starts for Juke Joint Jog
Eskimo Joe’s and Stillwater Medical Center are gearing up for the 22nd annual Juke Joint Jog, a 5-K sanctioned race and one-mile Fun Run to benefit the Stillwater Area United Way.
Stillwater’s Jumpin’ Little Juke Joint will host the event Oct. 24. Hundreds of participants will take to the Stillwater streets to raise money for the Stillwater Area United Way and its 24 community agencies.
Stillwater Medical Center will host this year’s Family Fun Zone entertaining the younger ones in the lot north of Eskimo Joe’s from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Fun Run is a one-mile race geared at family participation and will begin at 4:30 p.m. The 5K begins at 5 p.m., and the route travels through the Oklahoma State University campus.
“We are proud of how successful Eskimo Joe’s Juke Joint Jog has been for the Stillwater Area United Way these last 20-plus years,” said Stan Clark, Eskimo Joe’s president and founder.
“I encourage everyone in the Stillwater community and beyond to support your local United Way by participating in this year’s event. I guarantee it will be a ton of fun.”
Entry fees for the 5K and Fun Run are $20, but $25 the day of the race. The entry fee includes a Juke Joint Jog T-shirt and refreshments.
The Juke Joint Jog is the second largest fundraiser for the Stillwater Area United Way.
Registration forms are available at all Three Amigo restaurant locations in Stillwater and at Joe’s Clothes. Registration is also available online at www.eskimojoes.com.
