Five injured in head-on crash near Perkins

STILLWATER, Okla. — Two were airlifted to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center for injuries sustained in a head-on collison Saturday near Perkins.

Three others were treated and released from Stillwater Medical Center, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report shows.

Tomasa Monter, 54, of Stillwater and Thresa Holesko, no age listed, of Edmond were airlifted to OU Medical Center. Monter was admitted in stable condition with head and torso injuries. Holesko was admitted in stable condition with arm, leg and torso injuries.

According to the report, the accident occured on State Highway 33 west of Perkins when the driver of the  SUV lost control. It slid, crossed the center line and struck a car head-on. The SUV rolled once.

The SUV was driven by Erika Lopez, 23, of Stillwater. She was treated and released from the Stillwater hospital. The driver of the car was Holesko. There were no passengers in the car.

Seatbelts were in use by all involved and the reported stated the cause of the collision was the SUV going left of center.
