STILLWATER, Okla. —
Oklahoma State University is scheduled to make a “major” announcement regarding its seven-year $1 billion fundraising campaign.
In addition to OSU President Burns Hargis, university alumnus and benefactor T. Boone Pickens and campaign co-chair and alumnus Ross McKnight will speak at the ceremony, which will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. on the north side of the Student Union on the newly remodeled outdoor plaza.
The Branding Success campaign started in December 2007 and had raised more than $900 million last July. The funds represent more than 77,000 donors.
The funds will pay for new buildings, hundreds of student scholarships, endowed professorships, facility improvements and programs.
