Stillwater Honor Choir presents concert Thursday

STILLWATER, Okla. — A Stillwater children’s choir will present a concert celebrating musical styles from a number of times and cultures at a concert Thursday evening.

Stillwater Honor Choir will present “Music: The Thread That Binds” at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University.

Under the direction of Julia Haley and Trish Ranson, the choir will perform selections from Israel, Germany, South Africa, Korea and the United States. Capping the concert will be an arrangement of the traditional Quaker hymn “How Can I Keep from Singing?”

Stillwater Honor Choir features 80 singers in grades three through 12 and has three choirs: Preparatory Choir, Concert Choir and Bella Voci, a high school ensemble.

Admission to the concert is free, and donations will be accepted at the door.
