Crash victim discharged from hospital

AGRA, Okla. — An Agra teen who survived a collision that killed two people has been discharged from the hospital.

Shyla Eggers, public relations coordinator for Stillwater Medical Center, said Blake Beard, 18, was released Wednesday afternoon to return home.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Beard was admitted to the hospital with head and trunk internal injuries after the wreck Tuesday evening.

Beard was a passenger in 18-year-old Agra teen Callie Mainus' pickup when it and another pickup collided.

The other driver, Grady McIntire, 19, of Tryon and Mainus died of their injuries.

An investigating trooper attributed the 7 p.m. crash to unsafe speed on a road wet from rain.
