Payne County deputies arrest man in weekend stabbing incident

STILLWATER, Okla. — A suspect was arrested after a man was stabbed in the chest Saturday night. No charges have been filed in the case yet and the victim was transported to a Cushing hospital, Payne County deputies said.

The suspect may be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

According to an affidavit prepared by the Payne County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred at a mobile home park in Perkins.

The suspect told police he stabbed Jedcree Kingfisher, 29, when Kingfisher grabbed the suspect’s car keys and attempted to take his truck. The suspect said he came up along the driver’s side window and stabbed Kingfisher in the chest, the affidavit shows.

According to a witness, Kingfisher and several others had gone to the mobile home to get revenge for their friend who had been beaten a week earlier.
