District attorney: Police shooting deemed justified

CUSHING, Okla. — Payne County District Attorney Tom Lee announced that the two Cushing Police officers who shot and killed an 18-year old Tulsa man were justified in doing so.

Officers shot Rabih Ozeir mulitple times Jan. 10 in the parking lot of Simpsons Chiropractic, 1523 E. Main. Ozier died in a hospital the next day.



According to police records, Ozeir pointed a handgun and threatened the officers. The officers asked Ozeir to drop his weapon. When he refused, officers shot Ozeir multiple times.

Lee has asked the Cushing Police Department to remove the officers from administrative suspension and be allowed to return to active duty.
