STILLWATER, Okla. —
Since the filing period opened Monday, two city councilors have filed to remain in their positions on the Stillwater City Council.
Joe Weaver, who was elected to his first term on the council in March 2010, has filed to keep Council Seat 1. Philip Pina was appointed to the Stillwater City Council April 5, 2012, after John Bartley was elected Stillwater mayor in early March. Pina was among 18 people who applied to fill the vacancy. He filed Monday to keep serving in Council Seat 2.
The filing period for Stillwater City Council closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
