STILLWATER, Okla. —
Stillwater Police Department officers were instrumental in conducting a child pornography sting across northeast Oklahoma that resulted in four arrests and several more investigations.
Members of the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force relied on information gathered by the Guthrie and Stillwater police departments on at least nine occasaions from seven separate computers, according to an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation release.
Stillwater police arrested a 41-year-old suspect at his residence in Coweta and helped serve a search warrant. The same officers assisted in the arrest of a 65-year-old suspect in Okmulgee and the search of his residence.
The Coweta suspect was booked into the Wagoner County jail on complaint of distribution of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma computer crimes act. The Okmulgee suspect was also booked into the Wagoner County jail on complaints of distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma computer crimes act.
