Three Oklahoma State students from Stillwater recognized.

STILLWATER, Okla. — Three Oklahoma State University students from Stillwater have been selected as seniors of significance.

The award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to campus and community and have brought distinction to OSU.

Jonathan Wedel, an agricultural business major, Tyler Nicholas, management and science informations systems major, and Amelia Jeannette Wilson, mechanical and aerospace engineering and Spanish language and literature major, received the seniors of significance award.

Wedel is the son of Randy and Mary. At OSU, Wedel served as the executive director of the Student Alumni Board and was a member of President’s Partners. He was the Farm Credit Services of Eastern Oklahoma Student Board of Directors chairman and a member of the Oklahoma Agriculture Leadership Encounter.  

Nicholas is the son of Stephanie Gudgel and Corey Nicholas. At OSU, Nicholas completed an information technology internship with ConocoPhillips and also attended the ConocoPhillips Information Technology Student Forum. He was named to represent the Spears School of Business on the University Student Honors College and attended the National Collegiate Honors Council Conference in Boston.

Wilson is the daughter of Stephan and Kathleen. At OSU, Wilson served as vice president of Engineers Without Borders and was named the 2011-2012 OSU Student Philanthropist of the Year. She was an intern at the OSU University Multispectral Laboratories and contributed to the OSU Journal of Undergraduate Research Vol. 1.
