CUSHING, Okla. —
Two people were injured when a driver tried to avoid rear-ending a vehicle that slowed to make a turn, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck happened at 6:45 a.m. Friday on State Highway 33 just west of State Highway 99 east of Cushing.
Wanda Rodriguez, 56, of Oilton, was driving an Izuzu Rodeo west and when she toppped a hill, she saw a car had slowed in front of her to make a right turn. Rodriguez swerved, overcorrected and the SUV went into a broad slide, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The vehicle rolled more than once and came to rest on the driver's side, OHP reports.
Rodriguez and her passanger, Ashley Harper Rodriguez, 18, of Drumright, were taken to Cushing Regional Hospital. They were in stable condition, OHP reports.
