NEW: Oklahoma State University's Branding Success campaign tops $900 million

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State University's Branding Success campaign has topped $900 million and attracted support from 77,621 donors, the university announced Tuesday.

The University received $157.3 million between July 1, 2011 to June 30, bringing the total campaign donations to $906.1 million. The Branding Success goal is $1 billion, according to a report released by the OSU Foundation.

The campaign has created 853 scholarships and 133 new endowed faculty positions.

"Achieving these fundraising milestones demonstrates that our alumni and friends are committed to strengthening our academic and athletic programs and making OSU one of the premier land-grant institutions in the nation," OSU President Burns Hargis said.
