BREAKING: Joyride sends one to hospital

STILLWATER, Okla. — One man was air lifted to a Tulsa hospital after crashing a pickup truck in private field near Yale.

A collision report states the driver was doing donuts in soft sand when he lost control and the vehicle rolled, shortly after 8:00 p.m. Monday. Driver William R. Taylor, 48, of Yale was transported by helicopter to hospital and admitted with in critical condition with neck and trunk internal injuries.

Investigating troopers determined Taylor was intoxicated and cited this as the cause of the accident.

Taylor's passenger, Randy L. Lewis, 44, of Yale was uninjured.

Payne County Sheriff's Department, Cushing Fire Department and Yale Fire Department responded to the crash.
