STILLWATER, Okla. —
Stillwater Police are investigating two armed robberies that happened Saturday and Sunday nights in north Stillwater apartment complex parking lots.
Stillwater Police spokesman Capt. Randy Dickerson said the armed robberies occurred in the same general area of town and details, including suspect descriptions, were similar.
Police are asking residents to be alert for any suspicious behavior and to call the Police Department at 405-372-4171 to report suspicious activity or provide any information on the robberies.
Saturday’s robbery occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. in an apartment complex parking lot at 1001 N. Perkins Road.
The suspect, described as a black male between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall wearing a dark bandana over his face, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the victim and demanded his cellphone, wallet and backback. The suspect fled north on foot.
At 11:11 p.m. Sunday, a similar robbery took place in a apartment complex parking lot at 1807 N. Hartford. The suspect took the victim’s cellphone, wallet and backpack. The victim was ordered to lie on the ground as the suspect fled west on foot.
Dickerson said police cannot be certain the same suspect committed both crimes, but similarities in the robberies suggest a high probability of the crimes being connected.
