BREAKING: Arrest made in Cushing homicide

CUSHING, Okla. — A man has been arrested in connection to a homicide that occured Friday morning in Cushing, according to an alert issued by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Benjamin Joel Andre Littlesun was arrested Friday evening in Creek County on a felony warrant, according to the OSBI alert. He was booked into the Cushing jail on a murder complaint, a police dispatcher confirmed.

An unidentified woman was discovered near the 100 block of West Broadway in Cushing at approximately 7 a.m. by a person walking past the area, the report states. The woman was in critical condition with significant trauma to her body, the report states. She was transported to the Cushing hospital where she later died, OSBI reports. Cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner, according to the report.

The victim has been tentatively identified, the report states. She is believed to be in her 40s, and her name will be released once a positive identification is made, the report states.
