STILLWATER, Okla. —
A Stillwater Public Schools administrator who played a key operations role in some of the most significant building projects in recent history has tendered his resignation.
The Stillwater Board of Education accepted the resignation Tuesday night of Assistant Superintendent of Operations Jim Ryan. The resignation is effective June 30.
Ryan, 58, was in charge of operations in the development of Pioneer Stadium and construction projects for Highland Park Elementary School and Will Rogers Elementary School.
Ryan joined the Stillwater district as a science teacher in 1991 and was named the head of the technology department in 1996. He became assistant superintendent in 2006 and served one year in 2007 as interim superintendent. He moved back to assistant superintendent of operations when Ann Caine was named superintendent in 2008.
Director of Human Resources Kellee Brown said a search for Ryan’s replacement will begin within the next two weeks.
