Oklahoma State University outfielder charged with drunken driving

STILLWATER, Okla. — An Oklahoma State University baseball player was arrested Friday morning after a traffic stop in Stillwater. He has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Trey William Whaley, 22, appeared in court from the jail via video link Friday afternoon. He was informed of his charge and the judge said he would be released on a personal recognizance bond. Whaley is due in court Feb. 12.

 Whaley was pulled over while driving a white SUV. He had a blood or breath alcohol concentration above the legal limit during a breath test.

Whaley is an outfielder from Lubbock, Texas. Whaley was named an All-Big 12 Conference honorable mention outfielder. He played in 47 games with 43 starts and was OSU's second-leading hitter with a .299 average.
