STILLWATER, Okla. — Stillwater's Carmike Cinemas theater was being swept for bombs by a technician and dogs Friday due to a generic bomb threat called into the theater's corporate office, police said.
Stillwater police received a call Friday morning from an employee at the Carmike Theater on Perkins Road regarding a possible bomb threat, police said.
The employee told police bomb threat messages directed at unknown Carmike Cinema theaters had been left at the Carmike corporate headquarters.
The immediate area surrounding the Stillwater Carmike theater was cordoned off. Bomb detection dogs and a bomb technician have been called to the area to conduct a sweep of the building, police said.
