Stillwater resident charged in Friday's stabbing incident

STILLWATER, Okla. — An 18-year-old Stillwater resident has been charged with two counts of assault and battery by means likely to produce death in Friday’s assault and stabbing of two people.

Jordan Patrick Robinson remains in Payne County Jail after Tuesday’s court date. Bail was set at $500,000.

According to a Payne County Sheriff’s Office’s affidavit, Robinson and Alexander D. Hutson were involved in a pickup chase with Steven Wayne Kent, Christopher Blunell and Michael Hardin.

The pickup driven by Robinson rammed the other pickup twice, forcing it to stop. Robinson and Hutson leapt from the pickup, pulled Kent and Blunell from their vehicle and started fighting.

Robinson is accused of pulling a black folding knife and stabbing Kent eight times and Blunell three times.

Blunell was treated and released from Stillwater Medical Center. Kent remains in intensive care at OU Medical Center. His vital signs are stable, a hospital representative said.

Robinson and Hutson were arrested and transported to Payne County Jail on Friday. As of Wednesday, no charges have been filed in Payne County District Court against Hutson.

If convicted, Robinson could face a life sentence for each count.
